About this trail
Jebel Akhdar, the Green Mountain, rises over 2,000 metres in the Al Hajar range. Viewpoints look out over dramatic canyon terraces, ancient rose gardens, and traditional villages on cliffsides.
The plateau is cool and pleasant even in summer. The rose water produced in these villages is famous across Oman and the Gulf.
