Wadi Al Khoud trail

ModerateFree entry📍 Al Khoud, Muscat
🗺️ 6–8 km⏱️ 3–4 hrs📈 Moderate🌅 Best: Year round🚗 Approx. 20–30 mins from central Muscat from Muscat

About this trail

One of Muscat's most rewarding mountain-to-wadi hikes, climbing through rocky terrain to a panoramic sunrise viewpoint before descending via a 30-foot painted ladder into the wadi below, ending at a shaded pool ideal for a post-hike dip.

Well-marked with painted arrows and flags throughout — one of the most navigable independent hikes near Muscat. Starting before 6am for sunrise from the ridge is the highlight. The wadi pool has enough water for a refreshing dip most of the year.
