About Al Sawadi Beach

A long, shell-strewn beach on Oman's northern Batinah coast, distinguished by rocky offshore islands that sit tantalizingly close. The main Sawadi Island hosts a historic watchtower fort, reachable on foot during low tide.

Al Sawadi is also the most convenient launching point for trips to the Damaniyat Islands Nature Reserve — Oman's finest diving destination. Shell collecting is excellent here.
