Khasab, Musandam·0.5 km beach inside fjord bay·600 km — requires crossing UAE or flight
About Khor Najd — Musandam Fjord
The most dramatically sited beach in Oman — a remote pebble shore deep inside a desert fjord, accessed via a steep winding mountain track. The surrounding 2,000-metre peaks plunge into gem-blue water creating a 'Norway of Arabia' landscape.
Traditional dhow cruise from Khasab is the classic way to explore the fjords, watching dolphins ride the bow wave in water that is spectacularly clear. An experience unlike anywhere else on earth.
