About Mirbat Beach

A historically rich beach in the ancient frankincense trading port of Mirbat — home to some of the finest diving in the entire Arabian Peninsula. More than 20 dive sites, kelp forests, shipwrecks, and vibrant coral reefs ring the coastline.

Humpback whales patrol the deeper water from November. Lonely Planet rates it as the best diving destination in southern Oman. The historic Mirbat Castle is free to visit just 500 metres away.
