About Qurum Beach
Qurum Beach is Muscat's flagship city beach — a spectacular 4 km arc of golden sand that lines the Gulf of Oman, flanked by swaying palms and a beautifully landscaped promenade. The water here is shallow and consistently calm with no significant tidal currents, making it safe and ideal for swimmers of all ages.
By day, Qurum is a lively social hub frequented by Muscat families, expats, and tourists. As evening approaches it transforms into the city's premier sunset-watching destination — the warm golden light reflecting off the Gulf creates a scene that's truly hard to match anywhere in Oman. Jet ski rentals, kayaks, and paddleboards are all available along the beach, making it easy to fill an entire day here.

What visitors say
The most beautiful city beach I've ever been to. The promenade at sunset is absolutely magical — palm trees, warm breeze, and perfect golden light. Came back 3 nights in a row.
Our favourite family spot in Muscat. Kids love the shallow water and there are always ice cream vendors walking along. The sunset view is truly something special.
Stunning beach for a morning walk. Very clean, well-maintained promenade, lovely cafés nearby. Avoid Friday afternoons — extremely busy. Best on weekday mornings.
Perfect for an evening run. The 4 km promenade is flat, beautiful, and has plenty of lighting. Jet ski operators are friendly and the rates are fair. Highly recommend.
Free entry — no booking required. Open 24 hours.
Best visited in the morning or at sunset.
