About Rakhyut Beach

The main beach of remote Rakhyut fishing village, nestled in a dramatic cliff-flanked bay west of Mughsail. White sands, misty Khareef atmosphere and virtually no tourists make this one of Oman's most atmospheric beaches.

The drive from Salalah to Rakhyut along the mountain road above the coast is one of the most dramatic in Arabia. The village sits in a bowl surrounded by towering cliffs. During Khareef the whole area is shrouded in mist.
