About Taqah Beach

A beach at the historic town of Taqah east of Salalah, beside a lagoon where flamingos regularly gather. Clear warm waters and scenic surroundings near the famous Khor Rori UNESCO-listed frankincense archaeological site.

Taqah Castle is one of Dhofar's best-preserved historic fortifications, directly overlooking the beach. The town has a strong frankincense trading heritage.
