Often called Oman's most photogenic beach — a crescent of brilliant white crystalline pebbles and emerald water backed by honey-coloured desert mountains. The white shore reflects light in a way that makes the water appear almost impossibly vivid green.

Undeveloped and crowd-free, this is a premier wild camping destination. The combination of white pebbles, emerald sea, and golden mountains is completely unique in Oman.

Getting there

Drive south from Muscat on Highway 17 past Bimmah Sinkhole. Turn off at Fins village and follow the 6km dirt track to the beach. Normal 2WD manageable if driven carefully.

130 km — 1.5 hr drive

Tips before you go

6 km dirt track — drive slowly and carefully in a standard 2WD

No facilities whatsoever — pack out all waste

Best photography is at golden hour — the pebbles glow in warm light

Combine with Wadi Shab (30km) and Bimmah Sinkhole (25km) on the same day
