White sand, aquamarine water, and dramatic rocky headlands on the same coastal road as Wadi Shab — with almost no development and almost no one there.
Al Sharqiyah
The rocky headlands at Fins close around the bay like a natural wall, and the water inside the enclosure goes through three distinct shades of blue from shore to deep — pale turquoise over sand, aquamarine over rock, and a deep indigo beyond the reef edge where the snorkeling begins to get serious.
Fins is close to Wadi Shab and the Bimmah Sinkhole on the coastal highway but receives a fraction of their visitors, partly because it requires a short 4WD approach and partly because there are no facilities to make it obvious. The marine life off the rocky points is some of the richest on this section of coast, accessible without a boat. Come with everything you need because there is nothing here but the beach itself — which is precisely the point.

About 150 km from Muscat. Take the coastal highway toward Sur; the Fins/Tiwi exit is clearly signposted. 4WD helpful for accessing the beach itself.
