About this event

Every spring, the terraced rose gardens of Jebel Akhdar burst into bloom — thousands of Damask rose bushes across ancient cliff-face terraces at over 2,000 metres altitude. The harvest produces the famous Jebel Akhdar rose water, prized across Oman and the Gulf.

The Rose Festival celebrates the harvest season with open rose farms, rosewater distillation demonstrations, traditional food, craft markets, and guided walks through the flowering terraces. The scent of roses at this elevation is extraordinary.
