About this garden

The stunning garden and village of Birkat Al Mouz sits at the foot of Jebel Akhdar, famous for its ancient falaj irrigation system and lush banana plantations that look completely out of place in the desert.

The old village ruins are walkable and the falaj channels that still flow through the date and banana gardens are a fascinating piece of living Omani heritage. A remarkably green and peaceful spot.
