About Khasab Fort

A 17th century Portuguese fort commanding views over Khasab harbour and the dramatic Musandam fjords. The fort houses a small ethnographic museum with artefacts including ancient Omani dwellings, the House of Keys, and floral exhibitions.

Four turrets surround the fort with elaborate carvings. Commanding gorgeous views of the surrounding bay, the fortress is also a popular hiking destination with trails up from the fort walls.
