A 2-million-year-old cave system deep in the Al Hajar Mountains, featuring breathtaking stalactite and stalagmite formations, underground lakes, and the extraordinary Garra Barreimiae — a rare blind cave fish found nowhere else on earth.
Guided tours take visitors through the illuminated cave chambers by train. The Al Hoota Cave Museum at the entrance houses prehistoric artefacts including pottery shards and stone tools. One of Oman's most unique natural attractions.
